D700 vs. the D3

Well since the introduction of the D700 I have been thinking that will be my next upgrade but for the moment the budget is not saying to part with the money. That said – here is a good quick concise real world comparrision over at TWIP.

Nikon recently started shipping the D700. This is a direct competitor to Canon’s 5D. But how does it stack up against its older brother, the D3?
Having had the D3 for a few weeks I was very familiar with its capabilities and looked forward to the D700. I wasn’t disappointed.

    Hi Brian! I got the same dilemma. Should I get it or should I get a 2.6 lens. I got the lens instead. Maybe Santa will be nice to us this Christmas and drop off a D700… or a D3.
