Hey its 930pm and I am still working when I started at 6am

Are you still working?
How many work hours do you put in daily?
I know I am at 12 to 16 per day lately….

Would be interesting to get a list going to see what the average work day on Google+ is…mainly to make me feel better….. :)

+Michael Silk 24 – come on now… I mean I like my work but you have to sleep… or are you some super secret Android running on 5hr energy…

I keep it to 9 whenever I can, inclusive of breaks.  Yesterday was a bad day, and at about 16 hours it was well outside my average.

Ah breaks… we should talk about those also….

Is all this work sitting on our butts or active work… I try to get in my 10,000 steps a day also.. it is not easy…

In sleep is when the most work gets done. How many hours do you sleep Brent?

  11. Brent Burzycki June 13th, 2012 5:06 am

+Michael Silk sleep… not enough…. and from what the news has been saying… I will be dead from a heart attack soon based on 4-6hrs of sleep per night…

You don't have power nap stations at your offices?

4 week stints, on call 24/7.

  14. Tom Jacob June 13th, 2012 5:11 am

+Brent Burzycki I normally do a 1hr break for lunch (and l always make it a point to leave my desk) and if its not busy may be a coffee break?

Thankfully we are quite open about internet usage so I always have my browser open on my second screen which helps a lot

+Michael Silk we have what we call a quite room with couches but I have never learned the art of power naps… its hard for me to slip in to sleep and even harder to wake up :-)

Btw 5-7 hrs a day and I make it up on weekends by doing a marathon

  17. Brent Burzycki June 13th, 2012 5:31 am

It is interesting to see these numbers….. Keep them coming…. And good to know we are not all alone in massive work hours…. Does everyone so far love their job or other….?

  18. Fraser Cain June 13th, 2012 5:32 am

I start at 8:30 and then try to get wrapped up by the time the kids get home at 2:30 pm. Otherwise, I'll just work all day, all night.

  19. Ben Fullerton June 13th, 2012 5:35 am

I typically start working around 9 or 10, then work until the wife and baby get home at 6. Then have family time until the baby goes to sleep around 9. Then work until midnight…

This surely is a nice idea +Brent Burzycki , I read all the comments above to know where I stands :) … I work for around 9 hours a day on average. which is 9am – 6pm. And 12 hours a day during Monthly, Quarterly and Annual closings…

    12 hrs today, 14 yesterday, 10 Sun., 10 Sat., etc…, etc…, etc…but it's the take out for dinner that's gonna kill me.

  22. Brent Burzycki June 13th, 2012 6:01 am

  23. John Vincent June 13th, 2012 7:50 am

Enough so that I can afford to play

  24. Marcin Pękalski June 13th, 2012 11:33 am

It really depends, from 7 to 12. :)
But add the commuting time, which takes me about 3 hours a day.

  25. Romain Graciano June 13th, 2012 8:36 pm

I start this morning early at 7:00 and just come back now. It really depends. The only thing that i learned from my job is if you do nothing, you will have nothing. Thanks for this thread, it s good to see people who are involved intheir job nowadays.
