A Reminder of where I started….

June 11th, 2003 is when I started shooting and this was one of the first decent shots I took on that first trip.

Helps to have a professional model to make you look like you do not totally suck.

Many years later with just a few weekends every few months shooting and trying to push my hobby along I still am not where I think I should be based on the facts of time and lack of time and money and need for more of it.

Hopefully I will have more time to talk about how to overcome some of those issues as I have over the past many years in the upcoming months as we push to get the new podcast on the air and rolling.

It’s been an interesting experience so far I guess it’s time to hold on for another 7 and see where it takes me.

Experimenting with vignette filters…

Experiment with heavy and light vignette options. In the end editing is all about personal opinion or the job you are trying to complete or get … Which one do you like more?

It’s not all about the ladies…..

So never forget to take the time to step away from what you normally do to expand your skill sets into other areas… lately for me this is weather related work and also HDR. At least in my case this step back to shooting something that I do not do normally reminds me that there are actually other settings on my camera and tends to force me to once again really think about what I am doing.

Divini Rae – Re-edit from an older shoot….

So I dove into Lightroom 3 beta 2 and other than the aforementioned weird color issues i am having that I must say are both strange and annoying… I guess I like the changes. I really need to take some time to really look at the changes. I will say I have heard great things about noise reduction.

Shoot: Jenna

Just a quick sample shot from a shoot a did some time ago. Single light setup, Large Umbrella.

I have had so many changes to my workflow in the past year I think I should look at revisiting shoot ideas just to be able to redo the images in the new workflow to see the outcome and how it might vary.
